About me.

Hello! 



My name is Alana Collins.



Ever since I can remember I have always LOVED books.The stories they hold inside of them, the way that once you begin reading you can never stop, and how even if you're having a stupidly, rubbish day, reading for just fifteen minutes can make you feel a whole lot better about yourself, because you're imagining that you ARE that wizard playing quidditch and catching the golden snitch! (He he, yes I love reading Harry Potter.) This has therefore inspired me to want to become an author and poet.



The people who have inspired me are Stephanie Meyer, Suzanne Collins, Jaqueline Wilson, J.K. Rowling, Joss Stirling, Maggie Stiefvater, Cathy Hopkins, Louise Rennison, Darren Shan, Wilfred Owen, W. H. Auden, Alison Fell, Maya Angelou and Alfred Lord Tennyson.



I believe that no matter what type of person you are, there's a book out there for you, whether it's science fiction, horror, romance, fantasy, gothic, comedy, sci-fi about historic events.



I like a whole range of different genres, and this is why I write my poems and stories in many different styles, which helps me to connect with wide range of audiences.



I like writing about anything. My poems are sometimes about real life experiences, books, other peoples views or just anything around me in my day to day life (I might even one day write a poem about my two cats Hocus and Pocus!) and I hope that I will inspire others to do the same.
