The lonely cat.

Every single day,

Being left on my own.

Night till morning humans sleep.

Morning till night, they go out into the world.

Being left on my own, scratching at the huge wooden door,

Pleading and begging them to come back home.

Why don’t they return?

I need some company.

I go upstairs and sleep on their bed,

Dreaming of catching a yummy big fish.

I wake up some time later,

Go downstairs to still find it deserted.

I go to the food bowl and eat some crunchy food nuggets.

Because they’ve annoyed me so much, I decide to poo in the bath.

I then go to sit on the window sill,

Hoping to see my owners come home.

I sleep for a while on the table, in the middle of the mess.

I wake up when it’s getting dark.

I hear some keys go in the front door.

I bound towards the door meowing.

The lady walks into the house.

She welcomes me with smiles, strokes and cuddles.

I follow her around for the rest of the day,

And do the same routine the next.
